Outstanding chicken cutlet and chicken parm sandwich/sub. I can't speak to anything else as that's all I've ever had. The prepared food is great in quantity and variety as a grab and take home for a meal option.

Always running specials and make things in house fresh. If you're in the area and looking for a sandwich, salad, deli option you're going to be hard pressed to beat this place.

Okay, so first of all if you are an eggplant lover, you will love their eggplant and their eggplant grinder is the best I have ever tried. Chicken cutlet grinder is also outstanding. The owners are very nice and down to earth people, the staff is very nice well at least the people in the front. I love this place.

Quite simply the best eggplant parmigiana I've ever had. Chicken dishes are excellent as well. Highly recommended!

Oh my god! Mattei's Deli & Catering is as good as it gets. Everybody loves Mattei's Deli & Catering! They have been around forever. A wonderful family, run business with a great reputation. Nice workers nice everything! They are on the pricey side but OMG they are worth every single cent. In my family, Mattei's eggplant is sacred. However, absolutely love their chicken parm, pasta fagoli, Italian combo subs, and their chicken cutlets are to die for! So perfectly seasoned I've never tasted anything like their chicken cutlets. They are more than just catering though - you can stop by for lunch etc too! They have a whole bunch of subs, they cater, they have pre-made dishes in the fridges for you to heat up at home, and if I want a custom wrap or something they always get it right! It's pretty crowded around peak lunch time but I will go anyways. They even have a huge wall of fridges with drinks! They are right on the river down Roosevelt Drive, right past the Yale Boathouse. One of the best places in the Valley/world. OMG, I love Mattei's Deli & Catering who doesn't?!?!
